Lamp and shade reworked

Old brass lamp given to me by a new friend. The shade was in bad shape, but I decided to experiment with it. This took a lot of modge podge because most of this material is heavy fabric I used for window treatments!
I still need to finish the inside with trim to cover ragged edges.
The question is with or without buttons?

Never give up...even on the little things!

My orchid hadn't bloomed in 2 years and I had given up hope for this year, but I kept watering.
